  • What is the commission rate?

    50/50

  • Is there a base salary?

    No this is 100% commission.


  • Can the rate change?

    Yes, this depends completely on your performance.

  • Do you provide Clients?

    • We do our own marketing to create new clients and can include your services.  
    • However, you do need to work to build your own client base.

  • Who sets the prices for services?

    • Prices are set by The Salon L.L.C. with your input and approval.  
    • This prevents stylists from competing with each other for the same services.

  • Do Commission Stylists have sales goals?

    • Do stylists have sales goals?
    • Yes, at a minimum the sales target is $500 per week.

  • What do you provide commission stylist?


    We have a Team environment.  

    1. We do not have multiple stylists performing the same services.  
    2. That means no competition among staff, and more opportunity for your growth.
    • Marketing:
    1. On our website www.HaveGoodHair.com(over 1,000 viewers/month).
    2. In our printed advertising.
    3. Social media sites.
    • Access to our booking system for scheduling and credit card processing.
    • Workstation/Booth 
    • Use of our chair, station cabinetry, mirror.
    • All utilities included.
    • Heat and air conditioning.
    • Use of station cleaning and disinfecting supplies.
    • Use of our private restroom.
    • Shared shampoo and color area
    • Access to our Shampoo assistant on specific days.  We ask that Stylist tip her out when used.
    • Shared hair dryers.
    • The option to participate in benefits.
    • The option to participate in training events.
    • WiFi, television and common area music
    • Customer waiting area
    • Free parking


  • Is insurance required?

    • The Salon L.L.C. provides general liability coverage.
    • It is highly recommended to have your own professional insurance coverages as well.
    • We can refer you to the company we use for more information.

  • Do you provide any supplies?

    • We provide generic shampoo and conditioner.
    • We do not provide hair for extension ro braids, color, hair etc..

  • Do you provide laundry service?

    Yes, we provide linen, capes, towels and laundry service.

  • Can I bring my own tools and furniture?

    • Tools yes!  
    • Since we have limited space to operate we need to evaluate furniture on a case by case basis.
    • Contact us with specific questions.

  • Do Commission Stylists receive any benefits?


    • Stylists keep their own tips.
    • Commissions are paid weekly.
    • Stylists set their own price for services.
    • Marketing on our website www.HaveGoodHair.com in our printed advertising and social media sites.
    • Access to our booking system for scheduling and credit card processing.
    • We are constantly looking to add additional benefits that will help us all to grow.

  • Can I sublet my space to someone else?

    No.

  • Why do you ask for references?

    The point of asking for references is to provide potential employers with a way to follow up with people who can validate your skills and abilities.
